Spectators: $3
Contest Entrants: $5 (juniors $2) for unlimited number of models
Categories:
Y1: YOUTH Age 13 and under
J1: JUNIOR Ages 14-18
T1: THEME CLASS – 9s All vehicles built ending in the Year 9. Any previous winner is eligible to enter.
S1: OUT-OF-BOX Only parts from a single kit can be used. Decals from another source, flocking & foil are acceptable. Scratch building, engine-wiring, aftermarket parts, etc, are not acceptable.
S2: STREET RODS Pre-1949 body style
S3: ROAD RATS Primered, beaters, junkers
S4: CUSTOMS Must have major body modifications. Top chop sectioned, front or rear custom pans or body parts taken from other bodies.
S5: STREET MACHINES Hi-Performance engine in a street-legal vehicle: includes Pro street.
S6: FACTORY STOCK (DOMESTIC) American vehicles; must represent authentic styles, colours, accessories & options available from the manufacturer or through dealership.
S7: FACTORY STOCK (FOREIGN/EXOTIC) Same as above, but for non-American vehicles
S8: STREET MODIFIED (1979 & Earlier) For vehicles altered from the factory original; no major body mods (but badge/script removal is okay). Allowable changes include: non-factory colours, interiors, wheels/tires, lowered suspensions & engine dress-up, (e.g. Low riders, Boulevard Cruisers, etc)
S9: STREET MODIFIED (1980 & Later) Same as above but for 1980 and newer vehicles (e.g. “Tuner” cars, Low riders, Sport-Trucks, etc.)
S10: CURBSIDE/SLAMMER No engine. Hood must be molded/glued shut. Underside of model can’t be displayed. Interior detail is optional. Black painted windows are okay.
S11: LIGHT COMMERCIAL/MUNICIPAL Any “work” vehicle such as pick-ups, vans, jeeps, etc.; emergency, utility, and municipal vehicles.
S12: HEAVY COMMERCIAL/MUNICIPAL Typically heavy trucks with more than one axle.
S13: COMPETITION (OPEN-WHEEL)
S14: COMPETITION (CLOSED-WHEEL)
S15: COMPETITION (STRAIGHT-LINE) DRAG
S16: NOSTALGIC DRAG 1970 and Earlier
S17: MOTORCYCLES All scales
S18: DIORAMA Automotive-related theme.
S19: LARGE SCALE: All 1:16 scale and larger must be in this class except motorcycles.
S20: SMALL SCALE 1:32 scale & smaller.
S21: SPECIAL INTEREST Miscellaneous “catch all” category; e.g. Monster Trucks, and TV cars.
